Civil Rights Pilgrimage Designs

Over the summer I also took on the position as Public Relations Chair for the Civil Rights Pilgrimage Board. My goal in this job was to create a logo for the trip to use across all the fundraiser publicity for a consistent design. It is a lot of work designing everything but I am really enjoying it.

The logo I created uses the road and a bus to create the capital letters of the trip title. The Board commonly calls the trip the CRP so I thought this logo would work well to publicize the trip with that nickname. The bus works because of the significance it had in the movement and also because we travel by charter bus on the trip.

Summer Work - Tutoring Brochure

This is a project I started over the summer for Peter Annor. He does tutoring services at Stritch. He wanted a brochure that he could put out to advertise himself. He sent me some information, but basically all layout and design decisions were left up to me.

I created the blue color and falling number design after looking at several tutoring flyers online. I wanted something that looked clean but still had something kind of jumbled to grab your attention. Creating a little collage of numbers and equations seemed to work well because Peter tutors in math.

We still need to add a photo of him working and a headshot, but after that the brochure should be finished.

Beginning Another Year of Design Randomness

After a perfect summer, classes have started again. This year semester my art classes are Graphic Design 3 and Visual Studies. Should be a good semester filled with a little more balance than the passed 4. Looking forward to finalizing past projects and working on the branding project from last semester.

Also this year I am going to try to get an internship and continue the work I have been doing for on-campus clubs and people I helped over summer. Summer design work posts are coming soon!

Gonna be a good year :)
